Our story

Hello! I’m Irina, the creative mind and frog enthusiast behind Paperfrog. Since 2020, I’ve been utterly captivated by illustrating frogs—a passion that has only grown stronger with time.

 

It all began with a simple doodle. I wasn’t planning to start a business or even focus on frogs, but something about them just clicked. They were full of charm and character, and before I knew it, I couldn’t stop drawing them. I shared my first few sketches online, and to my delight, people loved them! That encouragement spurred me on to keep creating, refining my style, and imagining all the ways I could bring my frogs to life.

Here are some of the very first frogs I ever drew:

 

Then, in 2021, everything changed. I created a frog meme just for fun, not expecting much from it. But it took off—going viral and becoming hugely popular within frog-loving communities. I suddenly had people asking where they could buy my designs, so I started selling them under my illustrator’s name. That was the moment I realised frogs weren’t just a fun subject for me—they were something I wanted to dedicate my art to entirely.

Gradually, my focus shifted solely to frogs, and the idea of creating a brand fully devoted to them began to take shape. That’s how Paperfrog was born.

Paperfrog emerged not just for people who love colourful stationery but also for those who can't resist the charm of frogs. From stickers and greeting cards to bookmarks and, more recently, my first-ever adult colouring book, everything I create is made with the same joy and enthusiasm that started it all. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing my art brings a smile to someone’s face.
